NextBus to equip Fort Worth’s The T

The agency will use Real-Time Passenger Information Systems on a route featuring enhanced express services, using nine dedicated buses equipped with GPS units, and 17 LED signs installed at selected high-volume bus stops.

NextBus wins Triad Transit System contract

Automatic Vehicle Locator units will be deployed on 164 buses across 72 routes. Per a five-year contract, the company will receive approximately $770,000 in revenue in the first year, which includes hardware, setup and service, and approximately $221,000, primarily as service revenue, for each of the remaining four years.

WebTech Wireless' NextBus awarded L.A. Metro contract

Under the $1.6M contract, NextBus will use its patented technology to process data obtained from all buses in LA Metro’s fleet equipped with GPS devices, then provide real-time, predictive bus arrival information to users by interfacing with the Southern California 511 phone- and website-based traveller information service, LA Metro’s own public website, the nextbus.com website, as well as cell and smartphone text messaging.

WebTech to supply Northern Calif. with NextBus

The NextBus contract outfits Amador Transit’s entire fleet with NextBus GPS location devices and real-time bus arrival information. NextBus will also install roadside LED digital bus stop displays and a large LCD transit center sign.
