Manaus, in the Brazilian state of Amazonas, will create a modern urban bus system compatible with the conditions in the tropical metropolis. Special bus lanes with passenger loading and unloading terminals will be featured. Volvo do Brasil will provide 120 air-conditioned articulated buses for the system. The buses will also have air suspension and automatic transmission. Two Manaus companies, Euatur and Victoria Regia, will operate the buses.
