NovaBus Inc. is putting its Roswell, N.M., bus manufacturing plant up for sale due to adverse market conditions. The company employs about 400 people in Roswell. While the company looks for a buyer, it will slowly reduce production and start to let workers go, said President Robert Shaughnessy. Company officials said orders for the RTS bus, which is built in Roswell, have not materialized during the past 12 to 18 months. They said market share for the high-floor buses has dropped because of requirements for wheelchair lifts.
