The American Bus Association (ABA) discontinued its driver and mechanic competition program, including the annual Coach Classic. "At a time when operators are facing a multitude of tough financial choices, ABA has come to recognize that it can best serve operators by focusing its resources and attention to our core mission, especially in the government affairs area," said Peter Pantuso, ABA president and CEO. Pantuso pledged ABA's assistance and expertise to any ABA member, state and provincial bus associations or other organization interested in staging its own competitive events.
