Memorial services for commuters who perished in the Sept. 11 attacks were today held simultaneously at 10 New Jersey Transit rail stations. Each participating town planted a tree and installed a commemorative plaque bearing the names of commuters who died Sept. 11, creating a living memorial. Participating towns were: Maplewood, Bernardsville, Bernards Township, Mt. Olive, Chatham, Millburn, Short Hills, East Orange and Montclair.
