Bombardier Transportation was awarded a contract for the heavy maintenance and refurbishment of 75 passenger coaches operated by a U.K. train operating company, Chiltern Railways. The total value of the contract is approximately $21 million, with deliveries scheduled to take place between September 2002 and December 2004. The Bombardier Transportation facility located in Ilford in the U.K. will be responsible for the refurbishment of the Class 165 vehicles, including full vehicle repaint and interior enhancements to the vehicles.
