Apply online for USDOT number

Motorcoach operators can now complete the application for a USDOT number more quickly. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration set up an electronic process that allows motor carriers applying online for a USDOT number to receive their individual number instantly. The process previously took up to four weeks to complete. Carriers will need a valid Visa or MasterCard to act as a digital signature when applying for the USDOT number and to update electronically.
