Posted on July 17, 2003

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority took delivery of four new 35-foot Opus buses manufactured by Optima Coach. The final inventory of 13 vehicles will be delivered in fall 2003. The Opus is equipped with an ergonomic dash, telescopic steering wheel and a large windshield for a fully unobstructed view of the road. Other vehicle amenities include vandal-resistant cloth seats and a bicycle rack that will accommodate two bicycles. The ADA-compliant Opus also features a wheelchair ramp, which can be operated in manual mode, eliminating maintenance road calls for wheelchair malfunctions.
