Tri Delta Transit in Antioch, Calif., won the 28th International Bus Roadeo held in conjunction with the American Public Transportation Association's Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. Tri Delta Transit earned first place in the operator competition and sixth place in the maintenance competition, garnering enough points to win the overall prize. Second place in the operator competition went to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority in San Jose, Calif. The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority won third place. A total of 100 teams comprised of more than 200 competitors from North American bus transit systems participated in the event designed to encourage excellence and professionalism in bus transit operations.
