The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County, Nev., purchased and accepted delivery of four new Optima 30-foot Opus buses. The new buses, powered by a fuel-efficient, low-emission Cummins ISB02 engine and an Allison transmission, were purchased to spearhead Reno's downtown service. The Opus, available in an under 30-foot model and an under 35-foot model is manufactured at Optima's 124,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Wichita, Kan., and utilizes the Wright Aluminique modular bolted-aluminum system.
