Hawaii's first hydrogen fuel cell bus started service Thursday in Oahu for the U.S. Air Force. The 30-foot passenger bus, developed by two companies under the Hawaii Center for Advanced Transportation Technologies, relies on compressed hydrogen for power. The no-emission bus cost $1 million and has a top speed of 45 mph.
