Ramesh Khona, a vice president at Gannett Fleming, died on June 7 after a brief illness. He was 64. Khona worked for Gannett Fleming for 36 years and distinguished himself as a leader in bus maintenance facilities, project management oversight, business development and government affairs. Khona was active in the American Public Transportation Association, serving on the legislative committee and the TEA 21 Reauthorization Task Force. In his honor, Khona's family has established the Ramesh M. Khona Excellence in Engineering Scholarship Fund, which will provide aid to promising undergraduates at Brigham Young University, Khona's alma mater.
