A New Jersey Transit (NJ Transit) train struck and killed a 60-year-old man Wednesday afternoon.

The train was on its way from Hoboken to Suffern, N.Y., when it hit Felipe Zuniga, who was walking along the tracks with his back to the train, according to wnbc.com.

A NJ Transit spokesperson said the conductor blew his horn and tried to brake, but the man did not get out of the way in time.

The incident is under investigation.
