Miami-Dade Transit exercised an option for 70 Model 40-LFW buses made by North American Bus Industries (NABI).

The total contract value, including buses and spare parts, is $21.5 million.

As the company’s second-largest customer, Miami has received more than 600 NABI buses of varying floor heights and lengths, according to NABI officials.

The new 40-foot diesel buses will be delivered in the third quarter of 2005. Miami currently has 110 buses on order from NABI.
