Valley Metro Rail in Phoenix released an invitation for sealed bids to construct an 8-mile stretch of the city’s first light rail system.

The section includes Phoenix’s central business district and stretches north and east from downtown Phoenix.

The work in the contract includes installation of embedded track, station platforms, traffic signals and signing and more.
