City officials in Montgomery, Ala., celebrated the 119th anniversary of the city’s first electric trolley system this week by opening the nation’s first ever GPS-guided trolley bus system.

The trolley replicas also offer satellite-assisted audio tours of the city’s historic areas.

The city of Montgomery unveiled one of the nation’s first electric trolley services, nicknamed the “lightning route,” in 1886.
