Port Authority (Pa.) of Allegheny County head Paul Skoutelas said Tuesday that he will resign in September to join Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB). He will assume the position of principal consultant with PB Consult, PB's subsidiary and will be a senior vice president with PB. Skoutelas served as CEO of the authority since March 1997. During his tenure, ridership increased for the Port Authority, which also modernized its bus and rail fleets and introduced new technologies, including the use of hybrid electric buses. In addition, Skoutelas was responsible for the completion of local transportation projects such as the construction of the West Busway, and expansion of the T light-rail system.
