The American Public Transportation Association's (APTA) EXPO 2005 in Dallas will continue as scheduled, but with increased vigilance as Hurricane Rita makes its way towards the Texas coast.

APTA officials are monitoring the powerful category 5 storm, which is expected to make landfall on Saturday morning.

The latest information from the National Weather Service for the Dallas area indicates Rita will weaken as it moves inland.

The Dallas area expects possible showers, thunderstorms and winds.
