GE, Cubic to develop explosive detection technology

GE Security has partnered with Cubic Corp. to integrate explosives detection technologies into automatic fare collection systems used in public transportation. GE will combine its explosives detection expertise with Cubic's in automatic fare collection to create design concepts for advanced integrated products to help make passenger travel on public transit systems safer. The companies plan to invite public transit authorities to participate in the joint development activities.
