Optima Bus Corp. received orders for four Opus buses from two new customers -- Skagit Transit in Burlington, Wash., and Iowa-based Marshalltown Municipal Transit. Skagit Transit ordered three under-30-foot Opus buses, which it will operate on urban fixed routes. Marshalltown Municipal Transit ordered one Opus for use on a fixed route service. Opus features include a 10.5-inch step height in its kneeled position for simplified loading and unloading of passengers with small children, the elderly, and passengers with disabilities. In addition, Optima delivered four 34-foot Opus buses to repeat customer, Knoxville Area Transit in Tennessee. The new buses will be operating on various routes throughout the city of Knoxville including routes for the University of Tennessee.
