Colorado-based bus manufacturer Neoplan USA announced Tuesday that it will shut down its plant in Lamar. The plant will shut down in mid-January, and 300 of its workers will be laid off, according to a statement from Neoplan CEO John Russell. Russell said layoffs, which began Tuesday, will continue until work is completed, reported the Associated Press. Production in the plant is slated to cease in mid-December.
