The New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) renewed a contract this week with Viacom Outdoor, giving the company rights to handle all display advertising on railcars, in stations and on station platforms.

As part of the contract, Viacom will also have access to 1,600 advertising panels at station entrances, adding to its displays on 6,211 subway cars and in 468 subway stations.

Though specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed, it is a 10-year deal.
