GM will provide five hybrid-powered buses to transport media and NFL guests during the week of Super Bowl XL in Detroit. GM's hybrid-powered buses will save more than 100 gallons of fuel compared with conventional buses. In addition to better fuel economy, this hybrid technology offers reduced emissions. These buses will be part of the NFL's transportation fleet, which consists of more than 30 transit buses and more than 400 vehicles from Cadillac. GM also announced that the first of 50 GM hybrid-powered buses manufactured by New Flyer Industries has been added to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority fleet.
