A three-week strike at Winnipeg's New Flyer Industries bus plant ended this week after union employees voted to accept a new three-year contract.

According to the CBC, members of the Canadian Auto Workers voted 82% in favor of a deal that includes 9% wage increases over three years and pension plan upgrades.

About 670 employees will return to their jobs over the next couple weeks.

The strike began on April 5, but New Flyer, which employs a total of 1,800 people, continued operations by transferring to its plants in Minnesota.
