Specialty Mfg. partners with equity firm

Specialty Mfg. in Pineville, N.C., is partnering with Century Park Capital Partners, a private equity firm in Los Angeles. The new company will continue with its current management and operational structure. John Ellison and Gray Ellison will continue as shareholders and members of the board. Gray Ellison will continue as president. Specialty is a leading supplier of safety components, lighting systems and flooring products to the transit and school bus markets. Century Park and Ellison expect the transition to be transparent to Specialty's customer base. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
