Orion VII hybrid bus on display in Edmonton

DaimlerChyrsler Commercial Buses North America will display its Orion VII diesel-electric hybrid bus to transit riders and stakeholder organizations at the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) open house in Edmonton, Alberta, from Sept. 11 through 16. During the event, hosted by the City of Edmonton Transportation Department, bus operators and transit staff members will have an opportunity to experience and test the bus. The demonstration is part of Edmonton’s commitment to explore new ways to provide environmentally friendly service to its BRT riders. “We are proud to be able to participate in Edmonton’s environmental stewardship,” said Patrick Scully, chief commercial officer of DaimlerChrysler Commercial Buses.
