First Transit awarded contracts

Foothill Transit (Calif.) has awarded a two-year contract with three one-year options to First Transit Inc. to provide continued transit services for its Pomona division beginning Feb. 2007. First Transit began operating the service in 1997. It currently maintains and operates 170 buses at the location covering 21 fixed routes. First Transit was also awarded a contract to provide contractor services for the operation and management of Hot Springs (Ark.) Intracity Transit, the area’s Transportation Depot and Plaza Property Management Services beginning Jan. 2007.
