Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. received a contract from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Hampton Roads District to perform construction engineering inspection services on a new $69 million, 4,000-foot long bridge in Chincoteague, Va. As part of the VDOT contract, Jacobs will monitor and inspect the bridge and roadway construction to ensure that contractors comply with the plans, specifications and provisions of their contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.
