The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) awarded a contract to Optima Bus LLC for eight under 30-foot low-floor Opus buses, with an option for 25 more over a five-year period. The buses will be used in Glacier National Park during summer months and by Flathead County’s Eagle Transit the remainder of the year as part of a cooperative agreement between the two entities and the MDT. The buses will feature distinctive artwork of Glacier Nationals’ mountains and be phased into its “Sun Road” operations this July.
