The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) recently awarded a new three-year contract to Laidlaw Transit Services Inc. to continue providing paratransit services in Las Vegas.

Laidlaw will operate more than 180 vehicles per the $75-million contract, and will begin operating the SilverSTAR and CATSTAR services, previously operated by Veolia Transportation, in addition to the ADA paratransit services it has operated since 2000.
