North American Bus Industries Inc. (NABI) will relocate production of Optima’s Opus and American Heritage Streetcar products from Wichita, Kan., to its main manufacturing facility in Anniston, Ala.

Production of the Optima products will be phased into the existing manufacturing operations at the Anniston location. It is expected that the relocation will have no impact on delivery commitments for existing Optima orders. The move will also enable NABI to consolidate its transit bus operations, including its engineering and support operations, at the Anniston center.

Production of the Optima products is expected to conclude at the Wichita plant by early August.
