San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based motorcoach operator Silverado Stages Inc. secured a four to six month contract to provide 24 hour-a-day transportation for Pacific Gas & Electric’s Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.

The contract involves Silverado coaches picking up workers, dropping them off to work on the refueling and maintenance of a 1,087-megawatt Unit 2 reactor and generator, then returning them at the end of their shifts.

Silverado will also be supplying shuttle service to and from the outlying on-site parking lots.
