Daimler Buses North America delivered the first Orion VII Next Generation transit buses to the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens, Ga., the first U.S. customers to receive the model.

The four buses were purchased as options from an existing order with UGA and feature two entrance doors and wide aisles for easy passenger accessibility and traffic flow.

Each bus has seating capacity for 37 passengers with additional space for standees. Specifically designed for university use, the new buses will provide daily on-campus transit services to UGA’s 32,000-plus students.
