The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s (MBTA) board of directors appointed Paul MacMillan as the new chief of the MBTA Transit Police Department.

Macmillan has been with the department since 1983 and has been serving as interim chief following the departure of Joseph Carter. He is the first person in MBTA Transit Police history that has risen through the ranks to become chief.
