Texas agencies beta testing fare payment app

DALLAS — Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), the Fort Worth Transportation Authority and the Denton County Transportation Authority are on track to let bus and train passengers buy tickets and passes using their smartphones and tablets, according to the Star-Telegram.

The app, called GoPass, is currently in beta testing, with DART officials saying it should be available in the app store and on Google Play by mid-September. For the full story, click here.

Ford unveils plans for driverless car fleet by 2021

The SAE-rated level 4-capable vehicle will not have a steering wheel or gas and brake pedals. It is being specifically designed for commercial mobility services, such as ride sharing and ride hailing, and will be available in high volumes.
