MADISON, Wis. — A recent survey found that half of Wisconsin’s residents want to see more passenger rail service in the state and nearly that amount thinks the state doesn't spend enough on transportation, according to The Cap Times.

Gov. Scott Walker rejected $810 million in federal funding for a high-speed train line between Madison and Milwaukee after he was elected in 2010, and the issue has continued to surface.

Earlier this month, a Chicago-based environmental group paid for a billboard along Interstate 94 between Madison and Milwaukee on which it urges the state to get "back on track" with high-speed rail. For the full story, click here.
