CLUJ-NAPOCA, Romania — GOOD Magazine reported on a successful campaign to promote literacy in Romania where municipal public transportation riders were given free rides if they were reading a book on any of the city’s buses, trams or trolleys.

The “Travel by Book” initiative was the brainchild of Victor Miron, a local literacy advocate, who initially proposed the idea to the city’s mayor in 2014. Miron hopes to establish the campaign as a regular event and has two more “Travel by Book” dates in mind. For the full story, click here.
