EUGENE, Ore. — Lane Transit District’s board of directors next month will interview three finalists vying to become the new general manager for the agency, The Register-Guard reported.

General Manager Ron Kilcoyne in March announced his retirement after four years at the helm of LTD, stepping away from a 30-plus-year career in public transportation. His last day is Sept. 30, the report said.

LTD approved a job description, which lists 39 desired attributes, including someone who will actively engage the community, is passionate about public transportation and its value to the community and can work effectively “amidst complex, politicized community dynamics,” The Register-Guard reported.
