RATP Dev North America and McDonald Transit Associates announced Mike Anderson as the company's new VP, Safety & Security.

In his new position, Anderson will lead RATP Dev North America's bus and rail security and safety projects, including directing nationwide safety and security protocols, developing safety and security programs, and guide the direction of new technologies created for public transit. He will also work as a liason with all of the company's clients, according to a statement by RATP Dev North America.

Prior to working in transit, Anderson served extensively in the airline industry, designing and implementing safety and security programs for airlines.

“Mike brings years of safety and security management experience from the airline industry,” said Blaine Rigler, president of McDonald Transit and VP, bus services, RATP Dev North America. “He is a successful leader with a strong background in technology and operations. Mike will use his extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing Safety Management Systems in the bus and rail industry that we proudly serve.
