An MTA Police Department training center opened an innovative Canine Training Facility in Stormville, N.Y. The 72-acre campus houses nine indoor-scenario training areas and multiple outdoor training fields and obstacle courses and areas with cars, buses, platforms and even a decommissioned train to teach, drill and test the dogs.
Planners estimate the new, 11-mile Tysons Corner to Alexandria bus system would attract about 8,600 new transit riders per day.
