Rome, N.Y.-based Birnie Trailways joined the ranks of Team Trailways, expanding the teams’ New York area service coverage along with other members: Adirondack, New York, Paradise, Pine Hill and West Point Trailways.

“We have a changing business climate, and I believe the buying power and road repair access the system offers us will be very valuable,” said Tim Birnie, president, Birnie Trailways. “The brand recognition is paramount as well."

Founded in 1946, by Martin K. Birnie, the family business has grown from 12 employees, one motorcoach, two school buses and one station wagon to 1,000 school buses, 23 motorcoaches and 1,200 employees, who work from 16 locations around the state.
