The American Bus Association (ABA) and the Travel Professionals of Color (TPOC) formed a strategic partnership to increase networking and business development opportunities for their respective members.

"We believe that a partnership between ABA and TPOC has excellent synergies for both of our organizations, and there is ample opportunity for growth in terms of new members and new business," said ABA Assistant Director for Member Services Roderick Lewis.

The partnership will include the co-branding of each association's conferences, special introductory member offers and Internet brand exposure on each other's Websites.

TPOC was founded in 2002 by two minority travel agents who wanted to create awareness within the travel industry that professional and qualified minority travel professionals are available.

"Working with ABA will help Travel Professionals of Color promote the continued expansion of diversity within the group travel industry," said Betty Jones, TPOC’s vice president, membership & finance.
