RICHMOND, Va. — Following 31 years of driving safely, 67-year-old Fred Battle Jr. was recognized as one of Greyhound's "Exceptionally Safe Drivers." Nearly 300 of Greyhound's more than 3,000 drivers have operated their big intercity buses for at least 20 years without causing an accident or incident, and 170 of them have logged 30 years or more of safe driving, according to a Richmond Times-Dispatch report.
