Miami-based Latin Express Service Inc., operating La Cubana, purchased three new MCI J4500 coaches for its long-distance service.

The first coach, featuring the company’s signature splashy rainbow graphic against a deep pink body, joined the fleet in May. The second J4500, a white one, arrived in early June. A third, painted gray, is expected in late June.

All three coaches feature wheelchair lifts and are La Cubana’s first coaches with three-point passenger seatbelts. The coaches also come equipped with Allison transmissions and Cummins clean-diesel engines, as well as safety features including electronic stability control, fire suppression equipment and tire monitoring.
