Former Prevost VP, marketing and sales, Rochette, passes away

Posted on December 16, 2014

The Prevost family extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of former VP of Marketing & Sales, Michael Rochette, who passed away on December 4, 2014 at the Laval Hospital in Quebec. Rochette, the husband of Johanne Lord and son of  Mary Christine Murphy and the late Raymond Rochette, was 71 years old.

Rochette was with Prevost from 1984 until his retirement in 2005 and was instrumental in building Prevost’s reputation in the industry as a world class leader. Through successful product introductions to the development of entirely new markets in the conversion market, he helped lead Prevost to new horizons, according to a company statement.

He is survived by his wife Johanne, children Barbra (Charles Chartier), Susan (James Fequet), Laurie (Jonathan Burns); his grandchildren Daphne, Maggie; and his sisters, Mary (Livio Paronuzzi), Leanne (Michael Jeffrey), Fire Marion Mercier and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive condolences on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the funeral home on this same day at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
