Motor Coach Industries (MCI), a subsidiary of New Flyer Industries Inc., delivered five new MCI J4500 and two MCI D4505 coaches to Wichita, Kan.-based Village Tours & Travel.

Village Tours continues to redefine ground transportation in the central Midwest and beyond. The company offers highly creative tour packages, charter and shuttle services and personalized service with access to travel agents, a friendly staff and live chat website sessions.

Passengers throughout Village Tours’ markets will enjoy the ride in the new J4500s, which are powered by a Cummins/Allison powertrain. The models boast a beautiful woodgrain-look interior, custom fabric and leather seating for 56 passengers. They also have patented spiral entryways that make boarding easy.

Furthermore, passengers enjoy state-of-the-art entertainment systems, access to power outlets, USB plugs and Wi-Fi.

The two MCI D4505 coaches will be used for Village’s daily scheduled Bee-Line Express. Four D4505 coaches already support this service, traveling a total of 529,000 miles a year on four routes with multiple stops: Wichita -Pueblo, Colo.; Pueblo-Wichita; Wichita-Salina; and Salina-Wichita.

Additionally, MCI delivered six new D4505s to Nashville’s Anchor Transportation.

“We’re very happy with the D4505,” said Jared Stancil, VP of Anchor Transportation. “It performs very well for us, it’s allowed us to steadily grow our market base, and now we can accommodate virtually any size group. We plan to add six additional D4505s in January 2017.”

Built to legendary quality standards, the MCI D4505 offers Anchor low cost of operation, high quality performance and superior passenger comfort. The model recently received improvements, including dual 150-amp Denso alternators, new parcel racks that expand luggage capacity and the REI A/V system.

Anchor added power outlets at each seat and offers its passengers free Wi-Fi throughout the cabin.

Stancil also credits its Nashville roots for the company’s steady growth. Nashville’s rank as a convention and tourist hub is on the rise with Forbes and Travel & Leisure publishing recent favorable tourism stories, and TripAdvisor naming it among the top 10 tourist destinations in the U.S.
