Chariots for Hire, a transportation service based in Washington, D.C., bolstered its motorcoach fleet this year with two Van Hool CX45 coaches and one 40-passenger CX35.

The addition of the three vehicles brings the company's motorcoach fleet to 17, and total fleet vehicles to 80.

Both 56-passenger CX45 are powered by Detroit 450 HP DD13 engines coupled to Allison B500 6-speed automatic transmissions. They feature REI Elite Entertainment systems with six video monitors, 110 volt outlets, and rear passenger windows and Grande Luxe seating with leather trim.

The CX45s feature three-point seatbelts, backup camera, lane departure warnings, anti-lock brakes, Smartwave Tire Pressure Monitoring, Kidde Fire Suppresion Systems, automatic stability controls, daytime running lights, curbside lighting, and adaptive static aiming lights. One of Chariot for Hire's motorcoaches is ADA equipped with a Braun wheelchair lift.

Chariots for Hire serves customers interested in nightlife and tourism in Washington D.C. The company also provides corporate shuttles and airport transfers, as well as luxury charters. Chariots for Hire works with BestBus to provide scheduled service from the D.C. area to New York and the Delaware beaches.
