DC Trails, a Washington D.C. charter and tour bus company, purchased 15 new Van Hool coaches from ABC Companies, including 14 2018 CX45 models and one 2018 TX with a two-door option.

Both the CX and TX models are ADA-equipped and include 110-volt outlets, Allison transmissions, six 15-inch monitors, aluminum wheels, and back-up cameras. The CX45 models are painted Tangerine Mist Metallic and are powered by a Detroit engine. The TX model is powered by a Cummins engine and painted metallic blue.

The company offers a unique combination of both line-run and charter services including tours and group transportation. It partners with many universities to fill its transportation needs, including American University, Georgetown University, and George Washington University to name a few. The TX model will be utilized for American University transportation in which DC Trails operates.

DC Trails maintains a late-model fleet of vehicles focusing on the safety and comfort of its riders. In addition to its very active charter bus service, the company has recently purchased the BestBus line-run service, and operates the Hop-On/Hop-Off Open-Top Sightseeing service in Washington, D.C., as well as the Twilight Monument Tours and Mount Vernon Tours. With over 70 new state-of-the-art motorcoaches, the charter bus portion of the business serves not only the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas, but the entire continental U.S. and Canada.
