Demand for Accessible Raleigh Transportation has increased by 50% over three years. The city devotes 50% of its budget to the paratransit service. It is switching from cabs to a contractor to be more cost-effective.
Changes to paratransit services include at least a 50% discount for seniors and disabled riders and unlimited paratransit fares will be switched to 46-trip per month coupon books, effective July 2013.
