U.S. DOT kicks off ‘Build Week’ with bus facility tour

Raleigh, N.C. is one of the first stops on the Obama Administration’s “Build Week,” a week-long tour by the Administration officials to showcase projects that are already making a big difference in the economy by spurring private sector investment and creating jobs in the communities where they are being built.

Clean Energy to equip SoCal transit with CNG

Received a $2.1 million contract to build a new CNG fueling station at the Montebello Bus Lines facility. ARRA funds will cover the entire cost of the station’s construction, and the first year’s preventive maintenance costs and 24-hour emergency response services.

Man hijacks Greyhound bus

The suspect, who also may have had some sort of detonating device in his bag, allowed 33 of the 35 passengers to exit the bus before demanding the bus operator to continue driving another four miles south on I-85, before the police eventually stunned the man with a Taser when the bus stopped at a gas station on U.S. 1.
